It takes the gross commission and works through what actually happens to it: the brokerage split, your cap and where you stand against it, post-cap math, and the per-deal fees that quietly shave the check. The number it lands on is your true take-home, which on a capped plan can be a very different figure in November than it was in February.

That cap-aware math is the part most calculators skip entirely, and it's the reason we built this rather than pointing agents at any of the hundred split calculators already out there.
